PILATES FOR YOGA: ASSUMES STUDENTS HAVE GOOD GENERAL FITNESS PILATES EXPERIENCE IS NOT REQUIRED. CLASS DESIGNED TO DEVELOP STABILITY IN MOTION BY TARGETING MUSCLE GROUPS THAT SUPPORT THE SPINE, SHOULDERS AND PELVIS. PILATES EMPHASIZES CONTROL, FORM AND FLUIDITY OF MOVEMENT. IT IS ALSO A FANTASTIC WAY TO DEVELOP CONCENTRATION. THIS CLASS IS TAUGHT BY SHARON DESJARDINS.

MIXED LEVEL YOGA: ASSUMES STUDENTS PRACTICE REGULARLY (MINIMUM ONCE A WEEK FOR 6 MONTHS) AND ARE FAMILIAR WITH THE BASIC POSTURES. CLASS DESIGNED TO INTRODUCE THE ENTIRE BASIC CURRICULUM. NEW POSTURES ARE TAUGHT PROGRESSIVELY.

BEYOND BASIC CLASS: ASSUMES STUDENTS PRACTICE REGULARLY (MINIMUM ONCE A WEEK FOR ONE YEAR) AND KNOW THE BASIC POSTURES. CLASS DESIGNED TO REFINE THE BASIC POSTURES AND INTRODUCE INTERMEDIATE POSTURES.

GENTLE YOGA CLASS: ASSSUMES STUDENTS REQUIRE SPECIAL ATTENTION. YOGA EXPERIENCE IS NOT REQUIRED. CLASS DESIGNED TO STRETCH, STRENGTHEN AND BALANCE EACH PART OF THE BODY WITHOUT STRAIN. THE YOGA POSTURES ARE ADAPTED TO MEET THE NEED OF EACH STUDENT.

BASIC CLASS: ASSUMES STUDENTS HAVE GOOD GENERAL FITNESS. YOGA EXPERIENCE IS NOT REQUIRED. CLASS DESIGNED TO TEACH THE BASIC POSTURES OF HATHA YOGA PROGRESSIVELY WITH MODIFICATION (AS REQUIRED) SO THAT ALL STUDENTS CAN PRACTICE EACH POSTURE.

PRE-NATAL YOGA:CLASSES DESIGNED TO CULTIVATE THE ART OF RELAXATION, BALANCE FOCUS AND SURRENDER TEACH WAYS AND MEANS TO MAKE TIME IN EACH DAY FOR PRACTICE.

KIDS YOGA (6-11YRS): CLASS DESIGNED TO TEACH THE BASIC CONCEPTS OF YOGA IN A RELAXED, PLAYFUL MANNER.

CLASSIC POSES DECONSTRUCTED:FOR SERIOUS STUDENTS WITH EXPERIENCE. PRACTICAL CLASS TO EXPLORE THE WHY'S AND THE HOW'S OF THE POSE OR CYCLE.

RESTORATIVE YOGA: PRACTICAL CLASS DESIGNED TO CULTIVATE THE ART OF RELAXATION THROUGH SUPPORTED YOGA POSES.
